Chain of Survival Survey

Are you a Chain of Survival participant?

By that, I mean have you been party to a cardiac arrest resuscitation attempt? i.e. raised the alarm, performed CPR, used an AED or even just witnessed the event?

A poll in our sister support group – Chain of Survival UK shows that professional support is very limited for members of the public who have taken part in an out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) resuscitation attempt.

We’d like to find out more about this and so this survey is for people who have taken part in a resuscitation attempt (whether active or passive) and aims to find out if they received any support and what support they would have liked.

This survey is primarily aimed at non-medical professionals but health professionals are welcome to complete it.

This is also true for parents/guardians of a person who is under 18 and wishes to participate in the survey

If you have attended multiple cardiac arrest resuscitation attempts please answer the questions in relation to your first experience.

Note that on some questions you may select multiple answers.

The survey is anonymous and results from the survey will be published at a latter date.

PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE THIS SURVEY IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING SO, AS SOME OF THE QUESTIONS MAY BE TRIGGERING

If you are in the UK and have taken part in a resuscitation attempt you may also be interested in joining the peer support group Chain of Survival UK where you can talk with many others with a similar experience.
